A couple of weeks ago, I passed along word that AOL was launching a series of broadband channels, including the P&G Classic Soaps Channel, and they would launch on Aug 4'th. While many of the channels did launch on that date, the P&G Channel was not among them. AOL has now sent out word that the channel will launch on Tuesday, Aug 22nd.
Unfortunately, it appears you need to have (at least) Windows 2000 and Windows Media Player 10 in order to view the material. It probably goes without saying that you need broadband as well. I'm still rocking Windows 98 SE, so I'm out of luck for now. Additionally some people who do meet the equipment requirements have reported problems playing the stream. Well, it is still in beta testing.
